If you find yourself wandering through the lively streets of Palermo, a stop at Bar Marocco should be on your itinerary. Nestled at Via Vittorio Emanuele, 494, 90134 Palermo PA, Italy, this charming bar is a culinary gem that captures the essence of Sicilian charm.
The atmosphere here is vibrant, and despite the hustle and bustle of morning crowds, the service is nothing short of exceptional. Patrons rave about friendly staff like Vicenzo, who is always ready to guide newcomers through the menu’s highlights. It’s a place where hospitality meets delectable cuisine, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring the area.
Bar Marocco truly shines with its classic Sicilian offerings. The cannoli are a standout; guests have commented on the freshness of the creamy filling, expertly paired with hints of citron or orange. Morning visitors often indulge in delightful treats such as cornetti and the intriguingly delicious combination of ice cream in a brioche bun. It's a breakfast experience that surprises and delights—nobody expects to be wowed by such a playful yet satisfying dish first thing in the morning.
One cannot overlook the scenic backdrop of Bar Marocco. Imagine enjoying your meal while the serene sounds of church bells echo through the air. The view of the nearby cathedral provides a picturesque setting, making each bite all the more enjoyable. Many customers appreciate the reasonable prices, defying the common perception that dining with a view comes with a hefty price tag.
In a city known for its rich cultural tapestry, Bar Marocco stands out. From freshly squeezed orange juice to perfectly brewed coffee, each element works in harmony, creating an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you’re planning a leisurely breakfast or a quick snack during your exploration, this bar promises not just good food, but also a warm Sicilian welcome.
As my time at Bar Marocco came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. The quality of food, the warmth of service, and the stunning surroundings left a lasting impression. This is a place I intend to return to on my next visit to Sicily—after all, no trip is complete without indulging in the flavors of Bar Marocco.

The canoli and bread with chocolate chips tasted so good! The creme in canoli was so fresh with citron or orange based scent. Although the bar was quite busy in the morning, it seemed like it was connected to some accomodation nearby, so groups of people visited which led to queues.

This little spot surprised me, I was ready to overpay and eat poorly for the view which is incredible and would be worth it but here the prices are not so high and the food is good! I enjoyed the cornetto and cappuccino both great with freshly squeezed orange juice it made a wonderful breakfast with a glorious view. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful despite my little Italian. The location is fantastic and being able to hear the bells ringing whilst eating breakfast made for an unforgettable morning. Recommended.

Love this place. Tourism can be so simple. Perfect place to watch people in the immaculate backdrop of the cathedral. Quality is fine, prices more than fair, location considered (Spritz with complementary crisps 6 Euro, water 2 Euro). Service quick and helpful.

The pastries were actually really good! The only observation is that the waiter was picking up garbage from the street and didn’t bother to change his gloves before serving coffee and sweets. Looks like there is a €1 surcharge per item if you want to sit at a table.
